A key element of the April 7 bond proposal is Phase II of Tiger Stadium. The proposal would provide $19,376,250 in additional funding to support the build-out of the Tiger Stadium project.
Phase II provides for the construction of a field house to serve both the football and soccer programs. The field house would include locker rooms with fully equipped spaces for home football and soccer teams. Team rooms, a weight room, and an athletic training room would also be part of the project, creating a more complete and functional space for student-athletes.
The proposed site plan also includes a designated hospitality area for coaches and officials, along with a practice field connected to the field house.
District leaders are considering options for an indoor practice space as part of the project. One site plan under consideration includes a 50-yard indoor practice facility. Having at least 50 yards of covered practice space would allow athletic practices during inclement weather while also creating a valuable rehearsal area for the Pride of Pryor Band. The space could additionally be used by cheer, colorguard, and pom squads to practice field routines.
Construction of new band bleachers between the field house and the visitors’ bleachers is an important feature of the proposed Phase II Stadium bond project. This addition would improve the band’s visibility and enhance acoustics, helping fans better enjoy performances during games.
Together, these improvements will continue the development of Tiger Stadium as a multi-use facility that supports student-athletes, fine arts programs, and school spirit for years to come.
