Pryor High School Choir students delivered an outstanding performance at the District Solo and Ensemble Contest on February 28, earning multiple superior ratings and advancing several events to the state level.

Pryor students competed in a wide range of events, including 10 solos, five duets, one trio, two medium ensembles, and seven large ensembles. Their hard work and preparation were on full display throughout the day, resulting in an impressive showing for the program.

Both Pryor medium ensembles earned superior ratings, advancing to the state contest. In addition, all seven large ensembles also received superior ratings and advanced to state.

In solo competition, Estrella Ortega and Asher Smith earned excellent ratings. Students receiving superior ratings on their solos and advancing to state were Hadley Babb, Brylee Bruch, Jackson Bruckerhoff, Avery Copeland, Emma Lucas, Shevelle Lunsford, Luz Ortega, and Leah White.

In the duet competition, Emma Lucas and Shevelle Lunsford earned an excellent rating. Duets receiving superior ratings and advancing to state included Adrian Rogers and Silas Grissett; Estrella Ortega and Luz Ortega; Brylee Bruch and Nolah Fisher; and Addilyn Doyle and Raylee Kochendorfer.

Pryor’s trio of Jackson Bruckerhoff, Kooper Gilbo, and Drew Williams also earned a superior rating, advancing to state.

The day’s results reflect the dedication, preparation, and talent of Pryor High School Choir students. Their strong performance at districts is a testament to the many hours of rehearsal and commitment they have invested throughout the season.

Pryor High School had an excellent showing at the contest, and we are proud of every Tiger who stepped up to compete. Congratulations to all of these talented students on their success.
