Pryor High School students earned national recognition earlier this month, placing 9th in the nation at the FCCLA LifeSmarts Knowledge Bowl—an intense, fast-paced team competition that challenges high school students in essential real-world topics.
The competition tests knowledge across six key areas:
Personal Finance
Consumer Rights & Responsibilities
Technology
Health & Safety
Environment
FCCLA Knowledge
Teams advance through multiple rounds, including a written test, buzzer-style questions, and challenge scenarios that promote critical thinking, teamwork, and application of real-life consumer skills. These topics align closely with the goals of Family and Consumer Sciences education, preparing students for informed and responsible decision-making.
Pryor’s team earned their spot in the top 10 at the national level during the FCCLA National Leadership Conference. To cap off their success, the students celebrated with some well-earned summer fun at Disney World.
Congratulations to our Tigers for representing Pryor on a national stage!
