Board of Education

The Pryor Public Schools Board of Education is responsible for adopting policies, overseeing the budget, and monitoring the district’s progress. Board members are elected to serve five-year terms, with each member representing a specific ward within the school district.

To serve, board members must reside within the district, maintaining a close connection to the community they represent. Through their leadership and oversight, the Pryor Board of Education ensures the district continues to thrive and meet its strategic objectives.

K. Approval for David Isenbart to use District Transportation to take HS and MS Robotics  Students to White River, Arizona from November 11–16, 2025 for a robotics competition. 

L. Approval for Maintenance Department staff to use district transportation to travel out of  state to Harrison, AR, to pick up a new landscape trailer. 

M. Approval for high school boys and girls wrestling teams and coaches to use school  transportation to travel out of state to Rogers, AR, to compete on December 4, 2025. 

N. Approval for Robbie Nunez to travel out-of-state to coach in the Women of Ironman  Tournament in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, December 13-14, 2025. 

O. Approval for the band directors to use district transportation to travel out-of-state  to attend the Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic in Chicago from Dec. 16th - 20th, 2025. 

P. Approval of District Virtual Education Plan for the 2026-2027 school year. Q. Approval to declare the items on Appendix A as surplus. 

R. Discuss then vote to approve or not approve items A-Q. (These items may be approved  by one Board motion, unless any Board member desires to have a separate vote on any or  all of these items). 

Action Agenda 

A. Voted to convene in executive session for the purpose of discussing any resignations or  retirements tendered, hiring Classified Personnel on a temporary contract for the 2025- 2026 school year, and hiring Certified Personnel on a temporary contract for the 2025-2026  school year, pursuant to Okla. Stat. tit.25 § 307(B)(1).

E. Voted to approve hiring the following Certified Personnel on a Temporary Contract for the  2025-2026 school year: Melissa Dougherty- Lincoln Elementary Full-Time Substitute

Voted to approve hiring the following Classified Personnel on a Temporary Contract for  the 2025-2026 school year: Jordan Bamberger- Lincoln Elementary Paraprofessional, Kesha Fuqua- Lincoln Elementary Paraprofessional, McKenzie Dale- Pryor Middle School  Paraprofessional, Macy Castleberry- Pryor Middle School Paraprofessional, Alejandro  Olade- Pryor High School Student Work Study, Dustin Schmidt- Pryor High School Student 

Work Study, Kevin Garrett- Pryor High School Student Work Study, Isabelle Payne- Pryor  High School Student Work Study. A Board member desired to have a separate vote on the  hiring of Sherrona Melchior- Lincoln Elementary PE Aide, and the vote passed. 

G. Voted to approve hiring staff for the Tiger Pride After School Program as presented. 

H. Voted to approve extra duty, stipends, and salary adjustments as submitted for the  2025-2026 school year. 

I. Voted to approve Annual Election Resolution to County Election Board and Election  Publication. 

Superintendent's Report 

Congratulations to Pryor Volleyball's All-Conference Team members! First Team, Rainey  White and Second Team, Lexi Line. Emme Young, Keaton Willyard, Kamree Willyard, and  Rylie Dorsey earned honorable mention. 

Congratulations to Pryor Softball for their semi-finals appearance at the 5A state  championship tournament! The following players earned individual honors. Coda Taylor,  District Pitcher of the Year; Payton Jackson, District Player of the Year; Zariah Diaz, District  Defensive Player of the Year. Tayla Vance, Caylee Kerr, Kenzi Bennett, Maya Renshaw,  Mckenna Yancey, Nevaeh Chupp, and Rhymee Rutherford were named to the All-District  Team. 

Congratulations to Boys Cross Country for finishing second at the conference meet and to  Kal Mead, Owen Nofsinger, John Burns, and Dayton Hunter for placing as All-Conference  runners. Congratulations to Ally Martin, Mia Thrana-Isaksen, and Braycee Trundle for  placing as All-Conference runners in the girls meet. Both the boys and girls team qualified  for the Cross Country State Meet. Congratulations to Mia Thrana-Isaksen for medaling by  placing in the top 15 runners. 

The Pride of Pryor High School Marching Band performed at the Oklahoma Bandmasters 5A  State Championships at Muskogee. The band took home 7th place for the second year in a  row, tying the highest placement in our history.
